Installing the FreeNAS Image Directly to a USB Drive

 

1. Download the compressed FreeNAS image file.

then download the img.xz file.

 

2. Extract the image file from the archive.

by 7-Zip

7z920.exe

 

3, Write the Image to a USB Drive.

Win32 Disk Imager

4. Boot from the USB drive.
